Inside Kenan Thompson’s net worth – including impressive Saturday Night Live salary

Actor and comedian Kenan Thompson has accumulated a massive net worth since kicking off his show business career in the early 1990s.
The actor is estimated to be worth $13 million in 2024, and his longtime status as a Saturday Night Live cast member has played a central role in accumulating this wealth.
NBC pays first-year Saturday Night Live (SNL) cast members $7,000 per episode, with a season typically featuring 21 episodes for a total annual salary of $147,000, Cosmopolitan reports.
The highest amount NBC is supposed to pay top SNL performers is $25,000 per episode or $525,000 per season.
However, Thompson, who has been on SNL since 2003, is said to earn between $2 and $3 million per season on the sketch comedy show, according to Parade.

A salary between $2 and $3 million would mean the actor earns at least $95,238 per episode.
Thompson is also known for work outside of SNL. He was an original cast member of Nickelodeon’s All That, another sketch comedy series that ran from 1994 to 2005.
The actor starred in All That for the show’s first five seasons before moving on to other work, such as feature films.
Disney gave Thompson his first film acting role in the 1994 sports comedy D2: The Mighty Ducks.
In 1997, the longtime SNL featured player starred in Good Burger — a comedy based on an All That sketch of the same name.
Thompson’s accolades aren’t limited to the screen. In 2023, he released his memoir When I Was Your Age: Life Lessons, Funny Stories & Questionable Parenting Advice from a Professional Clown.
